TORCH Modern wall quilt 24 inches wide by 39 inches tall

This modern art wall quilt has a minimal, linear design.  Skinny, colorful striped columns are arranged vertically with variable spacing and height against a background of blue ombre.  The shading in the ombre provides the striking play of light across the design.  Lighter shades of blue extend from the top ends of the columns to give the illusion of light shining out toward the top.  Multicolored strips in green, red, pink, blue, navy, pink, gray and white make up in the skinny torches. This graphic and bold wall art will bring a pop of color and modern design to any room in your home.

I used variegated thread to stitch closely spaced parallel lines along the length of the wall quilt. This dense quilting adds another layer of design and textural interest. The cotton batting and vertical quilting lines give the wall hanging form and structure, allowing it to hang flat and square against the wall. Fabric hanging loops at the top provide an easy way to hang your art. Thread a dowel through the loops, then set dowel onto small nails in the wall. If you prefer a different hanging method, fabric loops can fold down and remain invisible instead.

Care: Machine wash cold, tumble dry on low or light vacuum to remove dust as needed.
