GLASSWORKS 9 Full size bed quilt or oversized throw 77 by 92 inches

This original quilt was designed, cut, pieced, quilted and bound by me in my home studio. The mid-century inspired design for this quilt mimics the look of stained glass. A mosaic of colorful squares, strips and rectangles are separated by skinny strips of black. Composed of cotton solids in mostly blue shades with accents in green, orange, red and yellow. The geometric, minimal design plus the energetic palette give the quilt a mod, mid-century feel.  A perfect addition to your contemporary or traditional home. The quilt is perfectly sized for a full-size (double) bed or use it as an oversized throw in your living room, bedroom or TV room.  You could also hang it on the wall as a contemporary art piece with big graphic impact.

The reverse side has an improv-pieced column running the length of the quilt bordered by a semicircle print in black, blue and white.  Using gray thread, I stitched parallel lines along the length of the quilt, giving it an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt lightweight warmth. The binding which has a pieced colored accent was attached with machine stitching for durability.  All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
