CHALK AND CHEESE Throw quilt 60 by 61 inches

This modern quilt has a minimal half log cabin design made with solids and prints in a monogram palette of black, white, gray and ochre.  Half log cabin blocks of various sizes are fitted together like a puzzle to make up this improv mosaic design. Ochre solid brings a warm honey glow to the mostly monochrome palette. The geometric style is elevated by the variety of prints featuring diagrams, electrical sketches, pebbles, diamonds, and grids.  This distinctly modern quilt will be the perfect addition to your modern, bohemian or traditional home – living room, bedroom, patio or reading nook.

The reverse side has more monochrome improv blocks centered on a field of mustard Grunge.  Using gravel colored thread, I stitched half box lines across the quilt, giving the quilt an easy drape, crinkled appearance and a lush, textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt lightweight warmth. The binding in mustard was attached securely with machine stitching. All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
