This handmade modern quilt has a minimalist design in a monochrome palette.  It features bands of gray fabric that travel and bend from one end of the quilt to the other. The gradient gray fabrics with subtle hints of blue are from the Grunge line by Moda Fabrics.  These fabrics have a lovely mottled finish that gives them a burnished and rich looking texture.  The background fabric is Kona cotton in Pepper.

The modern palette and minimalist design of this quilt will make it the perfect addition to your modern home.  This quilt is perfectly sized for a twin or full-size bed or use it as an extra-large throw for your living room, den, patio, or reading nook.

The reverse side has a pieced improv block placed off-center and surrounded by Pepper and Ash Gray solids.  Using a variegated thread, I stitched parallel lines across the length of the quilt, giving it an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt lightweight warmth. The binding was attached securely with machine stitching and has a pieced section along two edges that match the gray bands as they travel to the edges of the quilt.  All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
